Brenda Bellringer course

On the 30th of April Nina, Roma, Caterina and I went to a rally with our horses at the pony club grounds in Stratford. It was sort of a private rally but with only four people in the group not lots of people. On the first day it was pouring down with rain and since Roma and Caterina’s horses were at our friends place mum dropped Nina and I of first since we only have a double horse float. We were standing there in the rain for ages until Bev the person who ran the whole day said that we could put them in the barn.
We walked them over to the barn then we could not find a gate to get in or something. So we just stood there until this man came over. He found a way to get our horses in and then we stayed there until mum came with the other two and there ponies. A couple of minutes before mum came the man left and when mum came Nina and I tried to get our horses out the way the man did Shadow my horse got caught up on the wire and pulled and pulled. Since Nina was standing on the wire when Shadow went over Nina fell flat on her bum and then it was all dirty!!!!!
Once Shadow had got herself out of the wire both the horses were snorting and they were really scared. The same man came over to help us and so did Bev (the lady who ran the whole day.) when they got to the barn where we were they said to go and get ready while they fix the wire and make it look all tidy again!!!!!!! When we were leading them over to mum the horses where still snorting and they were really hyper!!!!!!!! I thought it was good until we actually started to work Shadow started to buck when I was on her but I was lucky not to fall of!!!! I was lucky not to fall of because we were in the sand arena and it was all wet but Shadow did not care!!!
On the first day there were two other kids that we knew with there horses that learnt with us but on the second day there was just the Polettis!!! Mum thought that the second day was better because the other girls were not there. (Mum also thought that they were rude because the kept on talking back!) on the frist day we learnt how to trot on the right diagonal witch was really hard because she asked us if we were or not but if we said yes and we were wrong she said NO and we had to sit one beet but I usually sat either 2 or 3 but I got there in the end.
After both the days we were really tired and so were the ponies but the quickly ate up the hard food that we gave them then we put them in the paddock and I think that they were happy then!
