In the weekend we rode our horses on both days of the weekend and that is pretty much all we did. Since we hadn’t ridden our horses for a while my horse was being pretty stupid. She was jumping around and not waiting and taking off every time she had the chance. It was fun but by the end of it my thighs were pretty sore. On Sunday we went mustering for sheep. We had to drench them. Since we don’t start lambing until way late there were only like on sheep with a lamb so we left her up there with a couple of other sheep that looked like they were going to lamb. Since Nina and I had to go down a ridge we cantered really fast up the ridge to get back to the other horses. I so felt like Shadow was going to buck so I held her back a little bit. When we got back to the other horses Brooke (Since she came over to ride with us and help us with the mustering) was trying to teach Sunny to back 5 steps and then walk forward 5 steps and then I tried with Shadow and she did it really well.
When mum was back at the bike we followed her down. Roma lead her horse down and the rest of us rode down on our horses. Brooke kept on asking if Te Waiata will miss her and Sunny will like her. We kept on saying yes and no. About 15mins later we got to the bottom of the track mum was doing something with the fence and the sheep were just grazing in paddock next to us. Brooke asked us if we could do jumping when we got home and then about 5 minutes later she asked if we should go and help mum with the gate of whatever she was doing. We said that if you want to go and help mum then we won’t be able jump. She said that she really wanted to jump because she had never jumps on Sunny before. When we got home we tied the horses up so then we could go and get something to eat for lunch since dad had made a pizza. But dad had to still put the toppings on the pizza so I had to go and help mum draft out the sheep. Then we went back tot the house to have some pizza and then mum went up and started to drench the sheep. Since she has to go and help Silvia and Allen with the milking I had to finish of the drenching and Brooke held my horse. Once we had finished drenching we went back down to UN tack the horses so Brooke took the saddle of Sunny and then put it back on Te Waiata so then she could ride back to her house. Since Roma did not want to jump her before, Brooke jumped Te Waiata and then she went home. I had to call Debbie si then she new when Brooke was coming home.
